I have noticed that the backrest and luggage rack don't seem to really want to work together as the angle of the rest is not good with the rack.
I cant even put a tank bag on it and open the bag.

This is the Triumph factory Quick disconnect set up. I have noticed two screws on each "leg" holding the rest into the rack post. has anyone removed the rest and tried a Givi type hard box up there? I'm thinking one with a back pad for the passenger.

Factory backrest never made much sense to me, which is why I made a bolt-on one. Don't think it would be sturdy enough for a box given the way it mounts. Pretty sure luggage portion can be removed so fender rack can be used instead.
